These terms apply when you use gonstmedia.com, create a GONST account or become a Founding Member. We wrote them to be read, so it'll take you two minutes. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
GONST is an independent pop culture media, published by the person named on our Legal Notice page. You can reach us anytime at hello@gonstmedia.com.
2. Free accounts
Creating an account is free. It gets you our newsletter and access to members-only content when we publish it. You need to be at least 15, use an email address that's really yours, and keep your account to yourself. You can delete it anytime.
3. Founding Membership
Founding Membership is our paid plan. Right now it includes:
- Your price, locked in for as long as your membership stays active
- An exclusive Founding Member badge and Discord role
- A private Discord channel with the team
- Early access to our biggest articles
- Members-only articles and behind the scenes
- A say on upcoming topics
Founding Membership is open until January 31, 2027. After that, no new Founding Memberships will be sold. The ones already running keep going for as long as they stay active.
We'll keep adding and improving perks. If we ever have to remove one of the perks listed above, we'll tell you beforehand, and you can cancel and get back the unused part of your current period.
Price and payment
Founding Membership costs US$5 per month or US$40 per year. The final price, including any tax that applies where you live, is shown before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe and charged in US dollars, so your bank may add its own currency conversion fees.
Your price, locked in
The price you sign up at stays the same for as long as your membership stays active, without interruption. If you cancel and come back later, the price on offer at that time applies, and Founding Membership might not be available anymore.
Renewal and cancellation
Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and you're charged on that date. You can cancel anytime from your account in a couple of clicks. You keep your perks until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
4. Comments and community
Be cool. No harassment, hate, threats, spam, sharing people's private information, or illegal content. Disagreeing is fine, being cruel isn't. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close a paying member's account, we refund the unused part of their period, unless it was closed for a serious or repeated breach.
Our Discord server has its own rules, on top of Discord's terms.
5. Our content
Articles, visuals and the GONST name and logo belong to GONST or to the people who created them. You're welcome to share our links and quote short extracts, with credit and a link back. Please don't copy or republish full articles without asking us first.
Names, images and trademarks of artists, films, series, games, books and brands belong to their owners. We use them to report on, review and discuss their work.
6. Giveaways
Each giveaway we run has its own official rules, published on the site, like our launch giveaway rules.
7. Responsibility
We work hard to get things right, but GONST is provided as it is. We can't promise the site will never go down, and we're not responsible for the content of other sites we link to. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as GONST grows. If a change affects Founding Members, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then if you don't agree.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts there. If something goes wrong, write to us first at hello@gonstmedia.com. We'll do our best to sort it out.
